Click “Search” to display all Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) records – regardless of payer, patient, status or date. To narrow the results, specify a payer, patient, posting status (such as “not posted”) or the date you received the ERA.

Displays results in reverse date order. ERAs that have already been posted or were marked as processed will appear with a green background. ERAs that have not posted will appear with a white background.

Review the ERAs

You can review the payment details within an Electronic Remittance Advice record in two ways:

Inline Summary Grid: Click the “+” symbol on the far left of the row. This opens the selected ERA to display a summary grid containing the claim number, patient name, billed amount, paid amount and status. This simply changes the row color to green so you can visually identify it as a row to which you do not want to auto-post. Note: Records that have been marked as “processed” still display a Post button. You can unmark the row and return it to its original state with the Unmark button.

Select ERAs for Auto-Posting

Click the “Post” button in the row you want to process. This posts the appropriate amounts to each patient’s account and claim based on ERA details. When you finish posting, the background will turn green and the button will change from “Post” to “Revert”. If you want to undo the automatic posting, click “Revert”. This will reset all affected accounts to the pre-posting state.

Note: If the ERA contains claims with zero payments, a pop-up window will prompt you to fix them: Post All, Skip All and Rebill, Skip All or Cancel.

View Payment and Posting Details

Click the payer name on the payment you want to view.
